We are a contemporary forward thinking design studio with work ranging in scale from furniture to full-scale residential and commercial projects. While broad in scope our work is strongly focused on delivering materially rich and well detailed design solutions to our clients. Our expertise lies in the marriage of architecture and interior design working together to create a fully realized project each unique to its own client.  THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER - 6+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 

 The position is a key contributor to the growth and success of Studio Collins Weir. Reporting to the principals and working directly with client, builder and vendor, this person will lead the design and implementation of projects from concept to construction. As such, a strong ability to graphically develop design objectives and translate them into construction documents and details is required. The person in this roll is also expected to manage project related schedules, budgets and project communication. 

A degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required along with proficiency in Vectorworks or Autocad, Sketch up, Rhino, VRay and Adobe CS. Strong capabilities in the following are also required:

  • Project management

  • Construction drawings and details

  • Material sourcing and specifications

  • Custom furniture design

  • Visual presentations

  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff

  • Specifications and construction documents

We are looking for motivated, organized clear communicators that are ready to work on a variety of projects.

 This is a full time position with compensation based on experience. We offer vacation, sick time and health care benefits.


INTERIOR DESIGNER - 3-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE

 This position is a key contributor to all phases of design and will work directly with senior staff and principals. The person in this position must be able to communicate and develop design objectives both orally and visually and will be expected to manage and execute design documentation and coordination from predesign through installation. A degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required along with expertise in Vectorworks or Autocad, Sketch up, VRay and Adobe CS. Strong capabilities in the following are also required:

  • Expert drafting skills

  • Strong understanding of furniture and floor plans, elevations, interior detailing of millwork and finishes

  • Ability to produce construction drawings and details

  • Material sourcing, research and specifications

  • Visual presentations

  • Exceptionally organized with a strong attention to detail
